Yup. That's a GT-R's six-pot stuffed into a Qashqai+2.

With 1000 horsepower, no less. This ought to be even more awesomerer than the Juke-R!

What is it with regular Qashqais that people like about them? They sell in huge numbers, but I don't seem to get it. I even saw a Qashqai with a matte paint or wrap job recently, which surprised me as it's such a homely vehicle.

People feel called to mess with everything ...if I should guess, I'd say that many people like a slightly higher seating position and a feeling of safety and being well-accommodated in the Qashqai. It doesn't hurt that it looks slightly less offensive than some other vehicles in its class (i.e. the Outlander, which I find appaling, the Citroen C-Crosser or the Renault Koleos). A Tiguan is just a bland choice, much like a Golf does little to underline individual taste.
